2007 Norton Charity Turkey Trot (The Celebration!!!)
The proceeds of this event benefit 5 year old Stephen D’Ercole, who was diagnosed with leukemia two years ago. This year we are celebrating as Stephen will undergo his final chemo treatment in December! The D’Ercole family will also donate a portion of the proceeds to another family in need.
Location: Norton, MA
In "Estates at Norton" cul-de-sac community, off of Barrows Drive in Norton. Start and finish at the end of Margaret Drive (click here for directions)

Registration:
Begins at 7:00 AM
Yes, you can register on the day of the trot!
Trot Time
8:00 AM start for 2.5 mile Wild Turkey Trot
8:45 AM start for .5 mile Turkey Trot for Kids
Starting Line: 36 Margaret Drive, Norton, MA
Courses
Two and 1/2 (2.5) Mile Wild Turkey Trot:
Loop course; Start at cul-de-sac at 36 Margaret Drive
Left Hadley 1 block
Right on Eileen to end, loop back and Right on Lisa
Left Garret 2 blocks
Left again on Hadley to start (You've finished a 1/2 mile -- just keep running :-))
Left on Margaret to end (1/2 mile)
Right at Fordham to end (where meet Barrows) and turn around to come back and end at start
Mini (.5 mile) Turkey Trot for Kids
Start at cul-de-sac at 36 Margaret Drive
Left on Hadley 1 block
Right on Eileen to end, loop back and Right on Lisa
Left Garret 2 blocks
Left again on Hadley to start (You've finished a 1/2 mile)
I Won!!
But, you're going to have to bring your own stop watch as this isn't an official or timed event. Thought we better mention that the first place person in each event will likely get more clapping from the sidelines, but we don't have a "prize" set aside. Although you will be first in line for day of race freebies and that extra time to enter into the raffles should you be interested :-)...

Registration/Fees -- all proceeds to the D'Ercole Family Fund
$10 for adults; Children 16 and under – donation of choice with all proceeds to the D'Ercole Family Fund.
Raffle tickets available day of the race for $1/each
Free raffle ticket with race entry. Prizes raffled at end of race. Accepting prize donations for raffle!

From 95 North or South: Take 95 to 495 South (towards Cape)to - Exit 11 (Rt. 140 South towards Norton) - Follow 140 South for approx. 5 miles (past Tweeter Center and Roche Brothers Shopping plaza) until you come to a stop light at the Rt. 123/140 intersection. Go straight through the light (you'll have to take a slight left) and then the IMMEDIATE right and STAY ON 140 South towards Taunton. - Drive approx. 7/10 of a mile and take a right on to Barrows St. (it's approx. ¼ mile after a right to the VFW) - Drive 6/10 of a mile until and take your first left onto Fordham Drive (look for the sign The Estates at Norton) - Drive 4/10 of a mile and take your first left onto Margaret Drive- Drive all the way to the end of Margaret Drive (approx. 1 mile). Please park on any side street.
